Integrating Sowing Date with Chickpea Genotypes in Managing Fusarium Wilt in Morocco

چکیده
Fusarium wilt caused by oxysporum f.p ciceris (Foc) is a devastating soil-borne disease of the chickpea. The causes crop losses in late-planted chickpeas and no available management option currently exists to recommend farmers. In order determine effect integrating sowing dates with chickpea genotypes on parameters yield, field experiment was undertaken naturally infested soil at Merchouch station during 2017–2018 2018–2019. results showed that significant differences were observed among for three parameters, final incidence. For seed only all interactions between factors non-significant measured parameters. Late high values A yield obtained from early-planted compared chickpeas. conclusion, integration early good levels resistance can be recommended farmers increase productivity Morocco.

Fusarium Wilt of Canary Island Date Palms
Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. canariensis has caused the death of hundreds of Canary Island date palms, Phoenix canariensis, in Sydney where they have been used prominently in landscape plantings. The fungus is spread in soil, by transplanting palms and on contaminated pruning implements and possibly by seed, birds and insects. Vegetative compatibility groupings (VCGs) were u...
متن کاملMarker assisted characterization of wilt resistance in productive Chickpea genotypes
Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris is one of the most wide spread disease of chickpea (Cicer arietinum). Studies indicated two major independent loci H1 and H2 determine the resistance to race-1 in chickpea. The dominant alleles at both H1 and H2 loci result in susceptible early wilting and recessive at any one (h1h1H2_ or H1_h2h2) produce susceptible late wilting and rec...
متن کاملSeed Treatments Induced Systemic Resistance in Chickpea against Fusarium Wilt in Wilt Sick Field
Induced systemic resistance in chickpea against wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysorum f. sp. ciceri (FOC) was studied by treating the seeds with benzo (1,2,3)-thiadizole-7-carbothioic acid smethyl ester (Bion), salicylic acid (SA) and dipotassium hydrogen phosphate (K2HPO4). Reduction in disease was observed in both type of applications but seed dressing was found more effective than soaking...
متن کاملArbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi: Biocontrol against Fusarium Wilt of Chickpea
The present study shows the status of mycorrhization in three test varieties of chickpea. As the results revealed irrespective to the crops when arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) were assessed under the influence of soil quality better results were obtained with unsterile soil in comparison to sterile soil. Chickpea variety ICC 11322 showed the best result against the Fusarium wilt and chickpe...
متن کاملYield loss in chickpeas in relation to development of fusarium wilt epidemics.
ABSTRACT Development of 108 epidemics of Fusarium wilt of chickpea caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris were studied on cvs. P-2245 and PV-61 in field microplots artificially infested with races 0 and 5 of F. oxysporum f. sp. ciceris in 1986 to 1989. Disease progression data were fitted to the Richards model using nonlinear regression. The shape parameter was influenced primarily by date...
